PLEASE REVIEW PHOTOS CAREFULLY

Anthurium regale is one of the most striking and sought-after species in the aroid world, prized for its enormous, velvety leaves and bold white veining. Native to the rainforests of Peru, this tropical beauty can produce foliage well over 1 metre long under ideal conditions. Each leaf has a rich, deep green surface with pronounced texture, resembling natural artwork. Its regal appearance makes it a true statement plant for collectors and enthusiasts alike.

Care Plan

Light
Bright, indirect light is best. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the delicate leaf surface. Low light will stunt growth and reduce leaf size.

Water
Water when the top few centimetres of the potting mix feel dry. Anthurium regale prefers consistent moisture but must never sit in soggy soil. Reduce watering frequency in cooler months.

Humidity
High humidity (above 70%) is essential for optimal growth and maintaining large, healthy leaves. Use a humidifier or pebble tray if indoor humidity is low.

Temperature
Keep in warm conditions between 18–27°C. Avoid cold draughts and temperatures below 15°C.

Soil
Use a very chunky, airy, and free-draining mix. A good base is:

  • 40% orchid bark

  • 25% perlite

  • 20% coco coir or peat

  • 10% horticultural charcoal

  • 5% worm castings or a light organic compost

Fertiliser
Feed monthly during the growing season (spring to early autumn) with a balanced, diluted liquid fertiliser or aroids-specific blend. Avoid overfeeding.

Repotting
Repot every 1–2 years, or when roots begin to outgrow the pot. Choose a pot only slightly larger to avoid waterlogging.

Not for "chewers" or puppies.
The toy is not "ruff and tuff", at all. Puppy had it torn to bits in just a few minutes. Nothing like handing your dog the toy while you finish unloading groceries only to come back and it looks like it snowed stuffing in your living room. It's made of a very thin material and is quite flimsy. Won't be buying this brand again. Might be good for an older dog who just wants to carry it around or play fetch. Although it's so light and flimsy, throwing it any farther than a few yards probably wouldn't work...

Favorite Handy Toy
This snake has been around our house for years! My shitzu/maltease dog is tiny, and he has a small mouth, but I call him Diablo! He loves to growl and act like a horrible terror when it comes to fighting over a little squeaky toy, and we use the snake to try to "push" the little toy away from his mouth. He loves to bite the snake and pull on it viciously. The snake has tiny holes in it, but has pretty much stayed intact. I am getting ready to add more stuffing inside it so it won't be so floppy. years of use have flattened it out. I love this thing. Well worth the money for a small-mouthed dog. The squeaker in the head was fun while it lasted, but the beauty of this snake is its shape and versatility as a pull on, and sneak up behind toy.

80lb Dog Goes Wild Over This Pulpo
My dog goes wild over this toy. The key difference between this and other octopus chew and rip toys is that this has a head horn, crinkle legs, and a squeaker in every limb. It makes it so much fun to play with him. After he destroys the sounds, he parades it around for his victory show.
